About Me

I am a graduate student in the Master of Science (M.S.) program in Applied Data Science at the University of Southern California. I graduated from Arizona State University in May of 2021 with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) program in Computer Informatics along with a certificate in Computer Gaming.
Applied Data Science is a degree focused on how data management, data visualization, data mining, and artificial intelligence techniques (specifically machine learning) are critical to the analysis process and how these can be applied to real-world challenges.
Informatics is an interdisciplinary degree combining a mastery of information processing techniques with specialization in an application area.
- Game theory and UI/UX design is my specialization which allows me to take a problem-driven, system-level, user-oriented perspective toward information and computing.
I have a solid background in software development (Java, C++, Unity) as well as computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms and Object Oriented Design (OOD). For my specialization area, I have taken classes that have focused on 2D and 3D game development within a team, decision making, developing art and animation, and Human Computer Interaction (UI/UX). I have completed two, multi-semester, capstone projects: An Informatics capstone focused on web development, and a game-oriented capstone with a focus on UI/UX development. Outside of class, I was involved with the ASU Video Game Design Club. I designed concepts and implemented game functions. Designing concepts, levels, and functions is enjoyable for me as I get to see how users interact with the concepts that I developed.
